ROC Helps Families Build A Solid Foundation For Sobriety
Addiction is a family disease. Malvern understands that the disease of addiction has no limitations and impacts everyone involved, not just the person struggling with dependency. Whether it is a husband, wife, child, friend, family member, or colleague, our goal is to improve his or her understanding of the disease of addiction and provide support services for both the addicted loved one and family members as they embark on their journey of lifelong recovery.
Malvern Treatment Centers designed the Recovery Oriented Community (ROC), an ongoing network of support for the recovering individual and their family during recovery. ROC offers a two-pronged approach designed to support the patient and the families, including specific, personal resources focused on helping families navigate their own recovery. Upon admission to treatment, families have a unique opportunity to become members of the ROC community. ROC empowers families to develop healthy boundaries, identify recovery next-steps, and connect with other resources tailored to meet each family’s unique needs. ROC is a dynamic, state-of-the-art tool utilizing texting, online support, and phone calls. ROC helps families get and stay connected with other families through recovery-oriented resources and weekly Family Support Meetings, facilitated by ROC family members.
To learn more, please contact our ROC Coordinator at 610-592-4380.

Thank you for your support! I can’t believe you are hanging in there with me. It can be grueling!
Checking in with you guys everyday and getting your inspirational feedback gives me the strength to get through the day. And for that I’m thankful.
Thanks for the guidance. I was not feeling hopeful, but you put a smile in my heart. Now I know what and how to say something positive to him so he doesn't feel bad about himself. Thank you.

(On ROC program) I can see him getting stronger! He is working hard for much less pay but he IS doing it! Thank you for all you did and continue to do!
Trust me - the simple support of texts and messages make a world of difference for family members, as you already know. It creates an unspoken trust and deep understanding of the issues that no one can grasp unless they have been in that very situation. The service you provide has been a monumental strength for me and my family and I want to thank you for taking the time to connect.

If it wasn’t for Malvern to help me get a foothold on my sobriety for the first 28 days, I really don’t know where I would be right now. I could never imagine in my wildest dreams how life can be so wonderful sober
Having this support from the ROC and the counselors at Malvern is the best support I’ve ever had and I am so grateful
Five years ago everyone here did their best to save my life and lay out the solution for me. Unfortunately, I wasn't ready. Five years later, and just over a year sober, I'm grateful to Malvern for planting the seed, even if it took a while to grow
