We take pride in communities here at Malvern. We’re proud and humbled that, on any given day, we’re able to positively impact the local communities of our seven locations.
We don’t stop at our local communities though – we’re committed to the larger addiction recovery and behavioral healthcare community. We’re committed continuing the trend towards “treatment not jail” and treating substance abuse as a disease rather than a crime. We’re committed to ending the stigma of chemical dependency once and for all.
We’re committed to about 1,000 other things too, but those are the big ones!

The New Jersey Prevention Network Annual Prevention Conference
Formed over a decade ago, the NJPN is a much needed positive force in New Jersey’s fight to end addiction.
Let’s let them tell it:
The New Jersey Prevention Network (NJPN) is a public health agency working to prevent substance abuse, addiction and other chronic diseases by building capacity among professionals, fostering positive collaboration among providers, and strengthening the field of prevention through the use of evidence-based practices and strategies.
Their annual conference is always full of necessary information and great people. With a topic like “Advancing in the Field of Addiction,” we just knew this was going to be a good one. We weren’t disappointed!
It was a blast meeting in the Atlantic City Convention Center for a day of speakers, panels, critical discussions, and networking. We were lucky enough to be one of the exhibitors and participate firsthand in many of the day’s events.
ASGPP 70th Annual Conference
The American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (ASGPP) was founded in 1942. That makes them six years older than us!
If you don’t know the ASGPP, they’re the pioneer membership organization in group psychotherapy and continue to be a source of, and inspiration for, ongoing developments in group psychotherapy, psychodrama, and sociometry.
We were honored to take part in their 70th conference. Few things, certainly few psychotherapy conferences, make it to 70 years in today’s world. That achievement alone should speak volumes about ASGPP.
Focused on trusting, risking, and expanding through psychodrama, the conference was a great exploration of what it means to grow as a human being through the use of role playing.
Cabrini College Take Care Fair 2012
Cabrini’s Take Care Fair was a play on a the idea of health fairs. Play being the important word because this one was fun!
While most health fairs focus on working out, eating healthy, getting enough sleep, and various other aspects of physical and mental health, the Take Care Fair aimed to educate students about all areas of health.
We were lucky enough to attend and offer decades of insight on what it takes to achieve and maintain spiritual health.
