President, Malvern Health
Geoff Botak has served as the President of Malvern Health (Progressions Companies, Inc) since October 2018. Geoff’s vision for achieving company growth is based upon a strategic plan which will set the standard of excellence for behavioral healthcare in our market. This strategic plan encompasses the implementation of scientific evidenced-based treatment, creating a culture of dignity and respect for our patients and assuring an employee culture built upon compassion and teamwork.
Prior to joining Malvern Health, Geoff established a twenty-five-year career in behavioral healthcare with Universal Health Services, Incorporated (UHS), a Fortune 500 Company and one of the nation’s largest hospital management companies. While at UHS, he advanced to the position of Senior Divisional Vice President responsible for 35 facilities in 10 states and DC, 15,000 employees and $1.4 billion in revenue. Geoff began his career as a Detox Nurse and was later promoted to Chief Executive Officer of a substance abuse residential treatment facility and then to CEO of two larger acute psychiatric facilities. Beginning in 2005, Geoff achieved multi-facility leadership as Group Director, Regional Vice President, Divisional Vice President, and Senior Divisional Vice President.
Geoff is a passionate servant leader that demands service quality and operational excellence by setting high standards and developing an effective culture. These exceptional qualities have been repeatedly demonstrated through his receiving high honors and accolades for his leadership while with UHS including an Eagle Award Winner in 2007 and three-time Chairman’s Counsel Awardee in 2001, 2005 and 2006.
Geoff has served on the boards of a wide variety of professional associations including the Philadelphia Division of Behavioral Health Executive Provider and Pennsylvania Council on Compulsive Gambling. Geoff resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is married with three children.
