Malvern, PA (July 1, 2014) – Malvern Treatment Centers is pleased to announce the new addition to the team, Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Fame goaltender, Bernie Parent. We have been working with Bernie for several years. He has been our keynote speaker at several events and has spent time with our patients talking about his life in recovery.
Mr. Parent has spent the last 35 years of his life in recovery. After many struggles, trials and tribulations with addiction in his earlier years, he understands that addiction is a daily battle that must be tackled head-on with the help of a strong support system. Bernie began his recovery much like many of the patients at the Malvern Treatment Centers and believes wholeheartedly in our methods and philosophy. Most importantly, he connects with our patients, forms bonds, and acts as a role model to any and all people that struggle with drug and alcohol abuse, as he was able to take control of his addiction and come out on top of the game.
